Oscar Mulero specialises in techno of the blood and thunder variety but while "Muscle and Mind" certainly has steel in its toecaps, a unidimensional aggression-fest it most certainly ain't. Behind every barrage of kicks there's a wealth of sonic detail (the echoing peals of fractured bells on "Interrelated", for example) to keep things interesting. Ferocity with finesse. Nic Brown
Neon-bright techno on the latest from Karim Kahar where sheets of synth pour down in bright cascades over nervous rhythms. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 5, 2022
Cavernous electronic music that is pitch black and terrifically unsettling, this is the kind of thing that would score a xenomorph rave. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 22, 2022
Drömloop is driven by a syncopated, microtonal synth loop with a 4 bar melody. The timbre and loudness go up together with pitch, leaving the low notes to lay the groove. When the counter-melody comes in later on, it gets animated in wonderfully musical ways.
Overall, the album is full of details, fantastic sound design, and chill, abstract beats. George_Locke
